More and more people are using audio streaming every day to make more money. From musicians to people posting audio resumes and private news casts, audio streaming is becoming the medium of choice for people who want new ways to communicate. Here are 4 steps you can take to help you make more money, too.
Step 1: Use an Outside Host
If you are hosting your own audio streaming site, you probably know how much bandwidth it can eat up. If you need the internet for other things--or if your audio streaming is suffering in speed or quality--find a good host and move your operations.
Step 2: Improve Quality
Because you have to compress your file, you will lose quality. If you start with the best possible quality, you will have no worries when compressing. If not, your sound could turn people off and they won’t listen. If they don’t listen, you don’t get your message across.
Step 3: Compression
When you compress your file, use the kind of file most people who would want to listen to your streaming would use. For instance, many musicians prefer the mp3 format, so if they are your target use mp3 primarily. In the end, it pays to use as many different compressions as possible.
Step 4: Links
Always check your links to your audio streaming site. Do it regularly and periodically, no less often than once a week. Broken links mean broken relationships with your clients.
