Every where you check about web designing, it will be told to you that content is the king. However, my argument is that how can content alone be responsible for making a website successful?
In fact, it is difficult to say that content or layout of the website is the most important parameter in web designing. If your website has excellent content but is not designed properly, the website will not be successful. The same is true vice versa.
For a website to be appealing in all respects, it is important to know the tastes of the website visitors. Today’s surfers are well-versed in Internet and browsing and in order to get regular visitors, you have to know what the visitors need, provide them with that and ensure that you keep on updating so that the visitors keep returning for more.
There is no doubt that content is important. If provides and explains your services and products. One should never compromise on content. This said, the content on a website should be clear and to the point. No one has time to read on and on. Your content can either hold the visitor’s attention or just put them off.
Once you have good content, it has to be presented to the visitors in such a way that it is appealing and attractive. If your content is presented nicely and beautifully, you can be sure that your visitors will return for more. An eye catching website can attract traffic but this will be just a temporary phase if the content is not equally attractive and regularly updated.
In conclusion, I would say that just having good content or an appealing website is not enough. You should try and find the right balance between the two. If good content is the soul of a website then appealing presentation of the content is body of that soul.

Colours are important part of our lives. They are used to convey different meanings in our day to day life. Different colours raise different feelings in our lives and that is why it is important to have the right choice of colours in your website. Choosing the right colours will have a significant effective in the way a website visitor perceives your message.
In HTML, we usually use the RGB (Red Green Blue) colour mode. It is important to use colour harmony while designing your website as you will use colours that go well together. Colours which go well together can have an impact on your website. Colours like blue, black, dark green and brown are colours that fall back while bright colours like yellow, white, red and orange step forward.
In order to have a good website, it is important to coordinate all the colours you want to use to make your website lively and interactive. Usually one can combine different colours into five categories. They are as follows:
Warm Colours
These colours are from red-violet to yellow
Cool Colours
They are from violet to green-yellow
Complementary Colours
These colours different from each other but go well together when used
Monochromatic Colours
This type of colours combine the hues of one colour
When designing your website, it is important to know what different colours mean. If you have a dark background with dark text, you can be sure that your website visitor will not return or bother to stay too long even if you have quality content and information. The reason behind this is very simple. Dark colours fall back and disinterest a website visitor.
Therefore, it is important to do a colour research before designing a website. Your website should not convey the wrong message to a visitor.

Have you ever at some point thought about designing your own web site?
If so, what do you think is the most important aspect of this popular task?
Is it the way your pages look? Well to some degree it is, but it's more to do with the navigation of your links and how your website flows and presents itself to your viewers as a whole.
When potential visitors see your site you want them to find the relevant information quicker than they would researching it themselves, so that hopefully they will come back to your site either by bookmarking it or taking note of the URL(web address) for later use, and so that they don't just go elsewhere on the net, because once they are gone you'll more than likely never see them again! (fact!).
So you want to make your site easily accessible and all the information that the visitor wants is clearly marked with links that draw them in.
Of course you are not in full control of peoples minds to make them stay, but remember by making your site interactive and with something for the viewer to do you may gain an advantage over other sites that don't offer this.
Images and banners should be used sparingly and only to compliment your targeted content, 70% writing(content) 30% pictures(Images) is a good rule to follow, ideally either your home page or your index page should have your main content and the point of your website should be realized here, maybe you are promoting a service or product, make it known.
Your site overall, needs to be attractive to the eyes and not that much of a distraction that puts your readers off, clear, readable and easily viewable articles and valued content are what should be presented here, there is no point in mis-matched color fonts or a mix of small, medium and large sized fonts scattered throughout (this appears quite childish), you need to think beyond the fact that that particular design may look good to you, but may be off putting to others, try to think about your subscribers or future ones as these are the people who will spread your reputation so make a good professional first impression.
It's also a good idea to get a basic understanding of HTML, which is the code that all websites are partly made up of and designed by, all tables and colours are formatted using HTML and then split up by other coding language such as Javascript which creates the interactivity into a web page, you do not have to be a complete know it all in HTML but it is helpful to know the basics such as creating hyperlinks and links to images etc.
Lastly of all remember there is information all over the internet(that is what the web is about!!) when you need it, you just have to do a search to find the info you need, but of course if you cannot be bothered there is always the added bonus of finding a cheap ebook that someone has gone to the trouble of compiling themselves through extensive research that they have done, so you just have to buy it and it is downloaded instantly.
Ps. If you are considering a good web host for business on the internet then you should try http://easydesi.thirdsphereplus.com it has all the tools for automating your business and saving you more time to create valuable content for your web pages.

To sell a product or a service, you must convince your customers to buy.
To convince your customers to buy, your website design must give the customers the content and tools they need to reach a buying decision.
Do not expect your customers to know your product or service and to know the differences between your products or services.
The more informative and helpful your website design, the more confidence it gives your customers to make a buying decision.
Therefore, design your website to be a more of a helping tool than a selling tool.
Here's the way to do it right, from the beginning.
First - Simplify your options. The more the merrier does not apply here. Giving customer too many options to choose from, customer may find it harder to make decision. When this happens, it is high chance that customer stop buying.
Next - Make your website design easy for your customer to decide between options. Describe your products or services in terms of their uses and their benefits. Start with the most important features and benefits first to grab customer's attention.
Try as much as possible, limit the use of technical terms.
For products, do not limit yourself to one photo per product. Use sufficient photos to show the details of your products.
Always give your customer a handy comparison tool to help your customer to compare and differentiate your products or services at one glance.
Lastly - Proactively address known concerns. If there are known concerns about your products or services, to proactive and address them upfront. One nice way to put them across to your customer is to address them in the "frequently ask question" session of your website.
The other common concerns which you must address are customer security and privacy concerns. You must give customer the reassurance that it is safe to shop and buy at your website.
By proactively removing these decision barriers in your website design, you bring your customer one step closer to buy your product or to buy your service.
