Colours are important part of our lives. They are used to convey different meanings in our day to day life. Different colours raise different feelings in our lives and that is why it is important to have the right choice of colours in your website. Choosing the right colours will have a significant effective in the way a website visitor perceives your message.
In HTML, we usually use the RGB (Red Green Blue) colour mode. It is important to use colour harmony while designing your website as you will use colours that go well together. Colours which go well together can have an impact on your website. Colours like blue, black, dark green and brown are colours that fall back while bright colours like yellow, white, red and orange step forward.
In order to have a good website, it is important to coordinate all the colours you want to use to make your website lively and interactive. Usually one can combine different colours into five categories. They are as follows:
Warm Colours
These colours are from red-violet to yellow
Cool Colours
They are from violet to green-yellow
Complementary Colours
These colours different from each other but go well together when used
Monochromatic Colours
This type of colours combine the hues of one colour
When designing your website, it is important to know what different colours mean. If you have a dark background with dark text, you can be sure that your website visitor will not return or bother to stay too long even if you have quality content and information. The reason behind this is very simple. Dark colours fall back and disinterest a website visitor.
Therefore, it is important to do a colour research before designing a website. Your website should not convey the wrong message to a visitor.
